Customer Review #1 "I
recently bought this great burr grinder along
with the Rancilio Silvia espresso machine.
Getting a great home espresso is all about the
grind. I didn't know this until just recently.
I'd been a dope, using a cheap blade grinder
not knowing what a HUGE difference a burr
grinder would make.
Now, I have my grind and my tamp dialed in,
along with a great espresso machine (The Miss
Silvia). I must say my espresso and cappuccinos
are as good or better than our local coffee
shops. If you are really into your espresso or
cappuccinos, you MUST have a burr grinder. This
is well made and easy to use. I highly
recommend it."

Customer Review #2 "Let's be clear — if
you want superior espresso you've *got* to have
the equipment for it. And believe it or not,
your grinder is every bit as important as your
espresso machine – and maybe more so. The
Rancilio Rocky — available both with a
traditional coffee doser, and in a doserless
model — is engineered from the ground up to be
a great espresso grinder, and only an
espresso grinder. Its grind controls let you
tweak your grind with 55 levels of precision,
and its broad burrs grind evenly and
exceptionally well. Match with the Rancilio
Silvia, and you're well on your way to espresso
Nirvana."

Customer Review #3 "I can say that
it has really improved my morning espressos.
Having the ability to grind the coffee myself
right before I pull a shot has improved the
quality and consistency of my lattes. The Rocky
does a great job with the grinding and with the
doser, I haven't had too much problem with
"dust". It's build is of a fairly high quality-
plastic could be a bit heftier, but with a
little care it should last me many many years,
and it turns out great coffee grounds. Well
worth the money even though it is not cheap. I
use a La Pavoni hand pump machine, and it has
never turned out as good a shot as I can now
obtain with the combination of it with the
Rocky."

Customer Review #4 "This is a grinder for the
serious coffee/espresso drinker.
The texture of the grinds is excellent. From a fine grind to
espresso to a course grind for coffee, the Rocky is consistant.
This grinder leans more towards finer grinds.
The lower the number the finer the grind. There is a dial range
that goes from 0-40. You can go past 40, which works well on
the courser grinds for coffee. We first use it to make regular
coffee and notice a dramatic difference in taste. It was almost
like the coffee was weak but during the grind, there is no
friction against the beans. The result is no bitter taste. The
Rocky is bigger than most. It weighs around 16 lbs and built
like a tank. I'd like to think of it as a commercially grade
home unit. You can easily dispense ground coffee into the
portafilter right from the Rocky via a lever on the side. 1
push for single shot, 2 pushed of the lever for 2. It is really
nice to use. The stainless steel exterior gives it an
attractive appearance and with most kitchens going with
stainless steel appliances, it blends very nicely. The unit is
very intuitive to use and very quiet when grinding beans to
other grinders I have used. Another plus is the user manual is
understandable, comes in multiple languages."

Customer Review #5 "After much research
I have found the ideal burr grinder. Just don't put frozen
beans in it, they have to thaw or the won't feed. It would be
nice if there was a removable tray to catch the drips from a
wet grupa and spilled grindings. It sits next to the grand old
lady LUCY who just keeps making great espresso and with some
finesse micro foam."
