The Krups GX4100
Coffee Grinder has a 3 ounce bean
capacity and stainless steel blades to
produce course-to-fine coffee in only
seconds. This Krups grinder also works
well for mincing and chopping all types
of herbs and
spices.
The grinder features a powerful 160 watt
motor and pulse action that allows you to grind
coffee to your own degree of fineness.
Housed in an attractive brushed stainless
finish, this Krups coffee grinder is easy to
clean and very durable. An overwhelming
majority of reviewers have said this model is
an excellent value and very easy to use. The
only negative is that some people found it to
be better for grinding coffee than using it for
spices.

"The
Krups Coffee/Spice Mill is a good value for the
money. I use it primarily for grinding toasted
seeds for Indian dishes (cardomman pods,
cloves, cumin seed, peppercorns, coriander
seed, mustard seed, chiles etc.). I read the
reviews on how the plastic lid will 'cloud'
from certain spices (e.g., cloves) and that
doesn't matter to me. This grinder isn't a
piece of artwork - it's a cooking tool. Where I
used to spend 20 minutes with a hand-operated
mill, the Krups does the same thing in about 5
seconds. It cleans up easily - it's all
self-contained and there aren't any burrs to
clean out - it's totally blade-operated. In a
perfect world, it would grind more precisely
(fine to coarse) - but that would require burrs
and the cleaning associated with them. So for
me and my needs, it's a good value for the
money. The time I saved with the first usage
more than pays for the machine."

"I have only had this
product for a few weeks but it seems like a
tough little grinder. I bought it specifically
for spices which it works fine for. It does
leave some pieces untouched on top of powder
but that is to be expected. Just sift and put
the pieces back in for another round. It is
still a little loud but not as loud as some
others I've owned. The static is a little
annoying but I believe this is also to be
expected and I can work around that to. When I
bought it I thought you could put the whole
resevoir in the dishwasher but that is not the
case. Only the cover can be removed. Overall a
very nice addition to my kitchen."

"I purchased
this grinder specifically for pepper grinding
which requires fairly fine powder. This grinder
works great for this and was exactly what I had
wanted. I am sure coffee is good as well, but
if looking for an electric spice grinder, this
one is one of the best expecially for the
money."

"Bought the Krups GX4100
Electric Coffee and Spice Grinder because it was similar in
design to a Braun grinder we had earlier and it had the nice
stainless steel and black look we wanted.
I was aware of the static clinging problems reported by others
and have noticed a tendency for the ground coffee to cling to
the unit. Not a big problem. Just tap the unit before
emptying.
The clear platic top is a bit quirky in the way it fits. Once
you get the hang of it, though, it's okay.
Overall it's a good grinder that does a nice job on the coffee
beans. Haven't tried it for spices but I imagine it would be
fine for that as well."

"I have purchased a
total of 6 of these. I've kept 2, one is at the summer cottage
and one is for home. I gave the others as gifts and have always
received gracious thank you's. Everyone, with out exception,
loves the efficient way it works and most of all how QUIET it
is. AND IT IS. This model is top drawer when it comes to
grinding without waking everyone while making early morning
coffee. If you are looking for a grinder that Works and does so
Quietly.......get this, get this, get this!!"
